As we are all aware, Covid19 hit planet earth like a nuclear bomb bringing all international travel and movement almost to a complete halt in most parts of planet earth. In Uganda, all international arrivals were closed till they resumed in October of 2020 after over 6 months of inactivity. All national parks and tourist hotspots were closed and inaccessible for most part of 2020. Tourism activity resumed and visits to Uganda's national parks have started to build up from both domestic and international tourists. Safaris to the parks are not as they usually are. There are less people in the park so when you visit and meet that lion, its all yours. When you stop by Bwinidi to see the mountain gorillas, the gorilla family is all yours. What's even better is the Uganda Wildlife Authority has reduced the park entrance fees and gorilla permits fees and all other entry fees by almost 50%. If you ask me, if a gorilla trekking safari has been on your bucket list, this is a good time to book your trip before everything picks back up to normal prices.
